This type of wood mini blind is an alternative to bass wooden mini blinds. The quality of ramin wood is not as good as bass wood and such it is also not as expensive as bass wood blinds. This type of blinds is heavier to pick up as it is about three-fifth heavier than bass wood.

Usually, ramin wood has a 2 inch valance to conceal the metal head rails above the window. Generally, ramin wood has the propensity to get spoilt and cause a change in its shape when the water content in it is high.
